Building Circles of Support: CASA, Schools, and Permanency Together
This interactive follow-up session is designed for CASA professionals, advocates, and child welfare partners who want to strengthen collaboration with schools and better support children impacted by foster care, adoption, and kinship care. Together, participants will explore real-world challenges, share successes and barriers, and discuss practical strategies that help children experience greater emotional safety, school stability, connection, and belonging across systems. The session will focus on how CASA workers can help bridge communication and understanding between caregivers, schools, mental health professionals, and child welfare teams while supporting healing-centered, relationship-focused environments for children with complex experiences.
Participants will also explore practical tools and strategies from the Adoption & Foster Friendly Schools™ movement and the iCARE4 Schools Connection Kits™ that can help schools become stronger partners in placement stability, regulation, engagement, and long-term well-being. This is not simply another training. It is a collaborative space for advocates and professionals to learn from one another, strengthen cross-system partnerships, and help create more connected, supportive experiences for children and families.
Participants will leave with renewed ideas, practical strategies, and actionable next steps they can immediately apply within their CASA programs, school partnerships, and advocacy efforts
