A story from local CASA staff:
"The child was removed from the parents at birth over 5 years ago because their two older siblings were already under care, and assigned to CASA. Since being assigned to CASA, they’ve only had one foster placement and had a total of 6 agency caseworkers, while having one CASA Advocate throughout the case. The CASA Advocate was able to develop a relationship with the child and provide a stable presence at an otherwise chaotic time. The child was adopted by the foster parents last year. They never had to experience the worst parts of the system and CASA was by their side all the time. The CASA Advocate was able to attend the adoption and remains in contact with the child"
