WEBINAR Preventing Unwanted Online Solicitation and What You Should Know about Sexting

This webinar explores online solicitation of children. Parents, guardians and advocates will become aware of how children are solicited online and how to detect if their child (ren) has been victimized. Participants should leave this session feeling empowered to teach their children who to communicate with online and how to respond if solicited. The second half discusses the widespread phenomenon of taking and sending explicit images. It defines “sexting” and offers data
on its prevalence among differing age groups and defines “child pornography," Revenge porn is discussed and suggestions are offered for avoiding these issues and to stay safe from its effects.
