Caring for the Caregiver: Practical Self-Care for Helping Professionals

Join us and our friends at the Illinois Family Resource Center for this great training! This training equips behavioral health professionals with tools to recognize and address burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. Participants will explore ethical responsibilities related to self-care, assess their own stress responses, and create personalized self-care plans. The session highlights the impact of workforce stress on client outcomes and team dynamics, promoting resilience and professional sustainability in the SUD and mental health fields

Objectives:
· Understand the importance of self-care as a core component of ethical practice in the SUD field.
· Identify personal signs and symptoms of stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue.
· Explore the professional impact of burnout on client care and team dynamics.
