Anxiety in Children
Anxiety is a normal and useful part of life because it keeps us aware of situations that surround us. It is normal for children to feel anxious at times. However, when anxiety affects behavior and thoughts on a daily basis or interferes with school, home and social life there is an issue. Children with whom CASA volunteers work have experienced behaviors that put them at a greater risk for anxiety affecting their lives in a negative way. In this presentation will discuss ten things a CASA Advocate can do to assist a child who is experiencing high levels of anxiety.
