Supporting LGBTQIA+ Youth to Thrive
Youth who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community are more likely to find themselves in an out-of-home placement due to parental rejection, bullying and mental health issues associated with those experiences. This training will provide an understanding of LGBTQ+ terminology, current trends, and best practices for creating safe and affirming spaces for these youth.
