Session 2: Private Logic and the Circle of Courage,Trauma and its Impact: What Every Adult Needs to Know

Wednesday, June 30, 2021
11:00 am12:00 pm

Children who have experienced trauma often have their own private logic. We will learn more about what this means and what it could look like. Participants will also learn about the Circle of Courage and its domains of Belonging, Mastery, Independence and Generosity. With this knowledge we can then provide a lens for thinking about private logic. Participants will work to reframe statements to gain alternate perspectives.

Participants will be able to:
-Discuss the implications of “private logic” in thinking about at-risk children.
-Explain how the domains on the “Circle of Courage” provide a lens for thinking about private logic.
-Identify behaviors that reflect what a child needs.

This is second of the three part series, learn how trauma effects the children you serve and the people you know and what you, as one caring adult, can do to help.
