Honorable Stanley Moore, Cook County Commissioner, 4th District has been elected to the Illinois CASA Board of Directors. Commissioner Moore was the first elected official in the state of Illinois to propose Juneteenth be a recognized holiday.
“What attracted me to CASA is the mission and programs focused on providing a voice and a stable environment to a child in need. Through my years professionally and personally, I have witnessed children with great potential but their environment has provided an obstacle for success. Being a member providing access to resources and services for children in need is vital to their development and self-esteem” stated Commissioner Moore.
