It's All About Perspective, The Empowered CASA Webinar Series, Session One
The purpose of offering mindset training to CASAs is to help increase self-awareness and teach self-care tools and concepts. When learned and practiced, the Advocate will be empowered to better manage the mental and emotional challenges of the work they do in the child welfare arena.
Presenter: Lisa Drake was the Executive Director for CASA of DuPage County, Illinois from 2009 to 2020. She's now a Life and Level 2 Nutrition Coach for women. Though she no longer works for CASA, her heart is still there. As such, she's taken all of her CASA experience and created a mindset training program for CASA staff and volunteers. Since April 2020, she's presented in 5 different States and at the National CASA Conference. Her goal is to ensure that 100% of the children in juvenile court across the country have a mentally and emotionally healthy volunteer as they go through this painful time together.
Session Two will be presented March 16, 2021.
